Zhejiang Province is leading all of China in the promotion of informization construction, particularly in the fields of big data and cloud computing. All business areas in Zhejiang use these technological mediums, and are vigorously promoting “Internet + government administration” as a governmental model. From January 25th to 26 th, 2016, Tsinghua University professor, Meng Qingguo, from the School of Public Policy and Management, the Case Center director Mu Ling, Postdoctor Du Hongtao,Gu Minchong,PhD student Hu Zunyuan and Master student Xu Shizheng, under the planning and organization of Pan Yonghua, the secretary-general of AliBaba research institute, arrived in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to engage in activities centered around intelligent transportation and related issues on Zhejiang government’s use of cloud computing and other such technologies. The research activities lasted two days.

Through the research and investigation performed, the Case Center was able to gain a much greater understanding of the current situation of the construction regarding intelligent transportation and government administration in the Internet era. At the same time, through the significant communication and linking up with Alibaba, the two parties laid the solid cooperation foundations on case development. It is hoped that in the backdrop of the DT era and through the development of case studies regarding Alibaba, it will provide valuable lessons and experience for the transformation of government administration and management in the future.
