From September 24^thto 25^th, entrusted by Ministry of Education, Director Mu Ling of China Case Center, Assistant Professor Cao Feng from Institute of Government Management and Innovation, and Tian Zhongta, Assistant of China Case Center went for a field research in Jinzhong city, Shanxi Province. The research received substantial supports from the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau of Jinzhong City. On the morning of September 24^th, the research group discussed with General Director Lu Jianping of Education Bureau of Jinzhong City, getting to know the background, detailed measures and implementation of education reform there. On the afternoon of September 24^thand the morning of September 25^th, the research group talked with Vice Executive Director Zhu Xiaohong of Education Bureau in Yuci District, Jinzhong City and the Secretary of Party Committee of Taigu County Education Bureau respectively. After the trip, the research group had a deeper understanding of the educational reform in Jinzhong, which layed the foundation for the future study and case developing in this area.
