SPPM held Seminar on Reforms of Public Sectors and MPA Education in China and the Nordic Countries

From April 17th to 19th, Seminar on Reforms and Public Sectors and MPA Education in China and the Nordic Countries was held in SPPM. The seminar was organized by SPPM and co-sponsored by Department of Political Science, University of Oslo. Altogether, 56 scholars from 35 universities at home and abroad, including University of Oslo, City University of Hong Kong, CASS Graduate School, Renmin University of China, Tianjin University and Sun Yat-sen University, have attended the seminar.

The seminar lasted for 3 days, covering issues of Research on Reforms of Public Sectors, MPA Education Development and Case Teaching Method in China and the Nordic Countries. During the seminar, 33 professors, including Professor Tom Christensen and Terje Hagen from University of Oslo, Professor Martin Painter and Richard M. Walker from City University of Hong Kong, Professor Dong Lisheng from CASS Graduate School and Professor Xue Lan, Dean of SPPM, from Tsinghua University, delivered speeches on related issues. They also had thorough discussions on 13 meaningful topics, such as Comparison on Public Policy & Administration, Comparative Public Sector Reform with a Focus on Welfare and Health Reform, Public Service Reforms in China, Comparing MPA Education Reforms in the World, MPA Education Development in China and Case Teaching Experiences.
